The Balearic Islands are like the Caribbean equivalent of the Mediterranean and are only a two-hour flight away from London. A boater's paradise where you can sail, dive and fish and take pleasure in other watersports such as windsurfing or riding a wakeboard. Menorca boasts over two hundred kilometers of coastline with more than seventy beaches of fine sand scattered around the island. The coast is so beautiful that UNESCO classified the entire island as a biosphere reserve. Why not sail around too by renting a boat with beboats.com.Family yacht charters are very popular in this sailing area but you can always sail over to Ibiza for a few nights if you are spending your sailing holidays with friends.
Many harbours and nautical centres are scattered around the coast of Menorca. This seems obvious when you realise how rich the island's nautical heritage is. If you want to charter a boat for a few days simply enter your criteria and start browsing our boats (bareboat or skippered, sailboats, catamarans...) available for charter by filtering them by price rather than by location. Indeed the island is small and its harbours are easily accessible from any city. The main harbours are situated in the Maó district, at the island's extreme (The port of Mahón, 240 spaces) and Menorca Ciutadella. If you don't find your dream boat in Menorca you can always spend your sailing holiday in,Majorca or Ibiza. Don't wait too long to book for boat as availability becomes scarce months in advance.
There are many dream mooring spots all around the island. It's one of Menorca's strengths and the best reason to charter a motorboat or a power dinghy. You can sail from creek to beach and cove to shore in complete freedom. The island's inhabitants actually sail quite a lot on snipes, these little monohulls with a lifting keel designed for two people. You can also charter a boat from a private owner to ensure your sailing holidays don't cost you as much.
Binibeca Vell (or Binibequer Vell, in Catalan) is a village situated on the South-West coast of Menorca, just a few nautical miles away from Port Mahon. The village is itself a real labyrinth of narrow streets, whitened by lime making it one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Close by, you have the beach of fine sand named « Binibeca Nou » (ou « Binibequer Nou ») and the little creek of Cala Torret.
On a First 27.7 from Saint-Malo with a group of friends. Sailed around the Channel Islands, had a good navigation!
We loved the Baltic Sea in Danemark, especially when we arrived in Copenhagen with its colorful houses. But Sweden and its canals were even better. Had the best time on board of our Oceanis 411!
We were able to do a few quotations with the customer service to find the best boat for our destination. We went for a Lagoon 450, really comfy for the family!
